Rapid growth of data centers created strains on the national power grid. The client sought the most economical but technically feasible option for its data center to reduce its peak load without having to throttle computational load.
HRE studied technical, commercial, operational, and regulatory aspects of different energy systems (BESS + PV vs. standalone BESS vs. Fuel Cells) and proposed the best resource combination to resolve grid constraints. In the subsequent stage, HRE prepared the RFP package for the client to go to market.
HRE’s recommendations received executive buy-in and the client is progressing through the procurement stage.
